Our farm is an active training and riding stable. Boarding with us means you are making a commitment to your own riding and training of your equine friend. All equines boarded with us the owner/rider accept as part of the boarding package lessons and/or training sessions each month.

Our barn is set up for lots of air flow and the horses comfort. We put a lot of thought and care into our programs including boarding, riding and growth of our clients.

Our barn is set up for lots of air flow and the horses comfort. We put a lot of thought and care into our programs including boarding, riding and growth of our clients.
Stalls are 12x12 with mats. We bed on pellets that breakdown into sawdust like material. Great advantage is that we can control the moisture in the bedding to help prevent an abundance of dust in the stalls! All stalls have a feed bucket, 2 water buckets and a haynet. The aisle is lined with mats to give the horses a little more comfort while in the cross ties as well. We do use fans as needed during the summer as well. The manure pile is located far away from the barn to help reduce the fly population within the barn during the warmer months.
All the horses are fed, turned out and brought in about the same time everyday. There are some exceptions where times may vary due to weather, holidays and competition days.

We offer the following for riding areas and fitness of the horses:
Brand new outdoor ring with stone and coming this spring sand footing. Perfect size for a full jumper or hunter course and to practice upper level dressage movements!
Introductory level cross country obstacles are going to be an addition in 2023.

Ready to get your equine partner fit? There is just over a mile gallop track with hills and bends to over all condition them. Track is measured and marked off with minute markers for various speeds.
To round out the riding areas there is a grass standard dressage arena to practice in. The arena is also marked off for the small arena size to practice test requiring a small arena set up.
Use of the amenities is offered to those boarding here as a benefit of being part of our farm. Those who do not board with us but are in the Carlisle and surrounding areas are, by appointment, invited to come school with their horses.

We do allow outside riders to come and school or gallop. Please know that a current negative coggins is required by all visiting equines.
VS is hosting onsite horse shows and series now right here in Carlisle. Come join in the fun by riding, coaching and volunteering!

Horses boarding here at VS enjoy turnout year round except if the weather is determining otherwise. The horses enjoy large grass filled pastures during the summer months over night. For the winter months they are turned out in large fields throughout the day with round bales. Automatic water system to the turnout fields when temperatur
Horses boarding here at VS enjoy turnout year round except if the weather is determining otherwise. The horses enjoy large grass filled pastures during the summer months over night. For the winter months they are turned out in large fields throughout the day with round bales. Automatic water system to the turnout fields when temperatures are above freezing. During the cold months water is sourced from the barn and hauled by the tractor to fields. We practice pasture rotation, dragging and mowing to maintain the ground and grass.
Horses are in groups of 4 to 7. Private turnout is an option for those who need it. We do encourage our clients to continue growing their all around equestrian knowledge and equine care by taking part in various farm routines and activities as they are able to do so.
